Renewals for Minors
The applicant (the minor) must be accompanied by both parents and present below documents at the Consulate for additional data collection and photo taking using the Computerized Digital System. Make sure to come with the appropriate clothing according to the Photos requirements.
13 years old or older
- Application Form
- Fingerprint Form
- Signature Form
- Copy of the current passport (only first and second page) – Present Original for validation
- Copy of your Panamanian ID (Cédula) — Present Original for validation
- If your Panamanian ID has expired or doesn’t possess one, present additionally the following documents:
- Another identification document that includes a photograph, signature and name according to the details registered in Panama — Present Original for validation
- “Signature Certification” form
- Copy of the Panamanian Birth Certificate (must have the authentication seals) — Present Original for validation
- If your Panamanian ID has expired or doesn’t possess one, present additionally the following documents:
- Parents Authorization Form – signed by both parents at the Consulate
- Copies of the Father’s and Mother’s identification document as it appears on the Panamanian Birth Certificate of the minor – Present Original for validation.
- Four (4) recent photo (within 3 months) following photos requirements:
Under 12 years old
- Application Form
- Copy of the current passport (only first and second page) – Present Original for validation
- Parents Authorization Form – signed by both parents at the Consulate
- Copies of the Father’s and Mother’s identification document as it appears on the Panamanian Birth Certificate of the minor – Present Original for validation.
- Four (4) recent photo (within 3 months) following photos requirements:
Photo Requirements:
- Size 35mm x 45mm
- Not blurred or opaque
- Full colour
- Full Face view facing front
- White background
- No sleeveless
- No low cut shirt or clothing
- Shirt or clothing cannot be light coloured or white colour
- No piercing
- No big earrings
- No big or extravagant necklace
- No contact lenses or glasses
- Make sure your hair is tied back to the hairline, showing neck, shoulders, ears, forehead and eyebrows
- No extravagant hairstyle
- No hair clips, nor ribbons
- No hats
- No wigs (only admitted due to illness)
- No smiling showing teeth
- No heavy makeup

- In the case one of the parent or both cannot present himself/herself at our Consulate, an authorization letter needs to be handed and signed by the parent(s) that cannot come (whichever is applicable). This authorization letter needs to be authenticated at our Consulate or at a Notary Public.

For widowers or divorced parents they must present the custody and/or divorce documents notarized accordingly in Panama.
